HSI Leadership Serves Oklahoma Education
HSI Sensing (Hermetic Switch, Inc.) president Ryan Posey and vice president of business development Travis Posey are serving Oklahoma education through two recently announced board appointments: Ryan to the Oklahoma Partnership for School Readiness (OPSR), and Travis to the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma (USAO) Foundation.
According to their website, the OPSR serves in an advisory capacity to the Governor on early childhood system issues relating to workforce, higher education, quality and access to early childhood programs and services, professional development, and special populations. Ryan’s appointment came at the request of Governor Mary Fallin, after being recommended for the position by Oklahoma State Representative Scott Biggs.
“Workforce readiness is an important concern for HSI in both the short run and the long run, and at all levels — high school, technical school, and higher education,” says Ryan. “Educational outcomes are critical to the success of this company, so I’m happy to be serving OPSR at the request of the governor.”
Travis’s appointment came when the USAO Foundation search committee began looking for young leaders in the community to contribute to its stated mission of “supporting the university through matching endowments, student scholarships, gift programs, estate planned gifts, and funding of campus capital projects.”
“USAO provides a great education for Oklahoma young people,” says Travis. “HSI has always been a strong supporter of the college and their mission, and I’m glad to be able to serve them through this appointment.”
Travis also serves on the Canadian Valley Technology Center Foundation Board. Ryan is a former Chairman of the Board of Directors for the Economic Development Council of Chickasha, and a former member of the Chickasha Public School Foundation Board of Directors.
